The Wisconsin Arts Board is the state agency which nurtures creativity, cultivates expression, promotes the arts, supports the arts in education, stimulates community and economic development and serves as a resource for people of every culture and heritage.  Since 2011 the Board has done this work as a part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.

The Wisconsin Arts Board annually holds one meeting outside of Madison so that area constituents can: observe the Board at work; inform the Board about their specific opportunities and challenges; learn about the Board’s programs and initiatives; and, through site visits, provide the Board with firsthand knowledge of the artistic and creative activities in this particular area of the state.
